Commissioner Harvey Delivered Keynote at ACSA Annual Convention

June 22, 2026 | Charleston, SC

On June 22, 2026, Commissioner Harvey spoke at the American Cotton Shippers Association's (ACSA) 2026 Annual convention in Charleston, South Carolina.

Commissioner Harvey discussed the impact that shippers, merchants, and transportation providers have played in propelling the American cotton industry forward.

"Cotton may not always make headlines, but it remains one of the great American export stories. Behind every shipment is an ecosystem of growers, merchants, transportation providers, port workers, and exporters who connect American production with customers across the world."

He also talked about the broad economic impacts shipping policies have on American farmers.

"American agriculture depends on reliable access to global markets, and ocean transportation is essential to that success."

Commissioner Harvey affirmed his commitment to working towards a more efficient and effective transportation system that benefits US exporters, importers, and consumers.
