26 February 2026, Vienna - During his working visit to Vienna, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi met with the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Feridun Hadi Sinirlioğlu.
The parties discussed the Republic of Moldova's cooperation with the OSCE, including with the organisation's institutions and autonomous bodies, the OSCE's contribution to strengthening Moldova's resilience and stability, as well as the regional security situation. Key topics also included the work of the OSCE Mission to Moldova and recent developments in the dialogue between Chișinău and Tiraspol.
In the context of the impact of the Russian Federation's war of aggression against Ukraine on European security, Minister Mihai Popșoi reaffirmed the Republic of Moldova's firm determination to uphold the principles and commitments undertaken within the OSCE. Respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the peaceful settlement of disputes, are collective obligations that are not negotiable and cannot be subject to revision or reinterpretation.
The head of Moldovan diplomacy reaffirmed the Republic of Moldova's readiness to actively support efforts to revitalise the OSCE so that the organisation can respond effectively to today's global challenges and contribute to strengthening peace, security and cooperation in Europe, in line with the provisions of the Helsinki Final Act.
