Willkie advised Shamrock Capital on its acquisition of a majority stake in Saylor, a creative agency focused on entertainment brands, and the combination of Saylor with its portfolio company Mutiny, a creative agency specializing in gaming.

On September 30, Mutiny and Saylor announced that the two agencies are combining to form a unified agency backed by Shamrock Capital. Mutiny will become Saylor's dedicated gaming division, alongside the agency's creator and production studios FLEET and Elevado.

Willkie previously advised Shamrock Capital on its acquisition of Mutiny in February 2026. Shamrock Capital acquired Mutiny through Shamrock Capital Clover Fund I, L.P. and is making an additional investment through the fund to support the acquisition of Saylor and bring the two agencies together.

Shamrock Capital is a Los Angeles-based investment firm that invests exclusively in media, entertainment, communications, and related sectors through a multi-fund strategy centered on private equity investments, as well as ownership and financing of content and media rights.

The Willkie team was led by partners Ray LaSoya and Joe Kaczorowski with counsel Noah Goodman and associate Amirali Agha-Khan.
