Please come prepared to work in our commercial kitchen or in the dining rooms with our guests. Closed toed shoes are REQUIRED for these shifts.

The purpose of this event is to help house people experiencing homelessness by setting up beds and serving food with our community partner Calvary Episcopal Church. Please go to the back of the church to park in the lot (free to park in). After you park, you should go to the building next to the church (ON THE CORNER OF JEFFERSON AND 2ND). Walk around to the front and ring the bell (the door is red). As always, this is a great way to meet new people and make an impact in our community.

About the Event:
Address: 102 North Second St. (Calvary Episcopal Church)
Sundays 6:00 - 8:00 am
The purpose of this event is to provide food, clothing, and toiletries to people experiencing homelessness in Memphis. Volunteers will help set up for the event, serve breakfast, assist with clothing and toiletry distribution, and help clean up after the event. As always, this is a great way to meet new people in our community. Please go to the back of the church to park in the lot (free to park in). You will then enter the double doors at the back of the church!
Requirements
Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:

  1. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19?
  2. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, new loss of taste or smell.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.

This is an opportunity for medical students of UT Health Sciences to obtain volunteer clinic hours in a free primary health care clinic.
Requirements:
