Catch the Turkey Toss on Dec. 16

Celebrate a favorite Vanderbilt University employee tradition-the annual Turkey Toss-on Dec. 16, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. This year's event, which will be in the Multipurpose Room, Great Room and cafe within Carmichael College, will mark the close of Vanderbilt's Sesquicentennial celebrations.

This event is open to Vanderbilt staff, faculty and postdocs. Attendees will receive a large Vanderbilt insulated bag. Regular turkeys as well as halal and tofurkey options will be available. Alternatively, you may take home a Vanderbilt branded scarf. All food and gifts are while supplies last.

A Vanderbilt ID or proof of employment is required to pick up a bag and a turkey or a scarf. A separate ID is needed for each turkey, tofurkey or scarf picked up for colleagues.

There will also be light refreshments, giveaways of Vanderbilt swag, and games and crafts for attendees to enjoy.

VandyRide shuttles are available for transport around campus during the event. Two shuttles will operate 7-9 a.m., and will increase to five shuttles 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

Shuttles stop at:

Terrace Garage, Wesley Garage, Magnolia Circle, Sony Garage, West Garage, 25th Garage and Carmichael. Shuttles restart the route after Carmichael.

Unclaimed turkeys will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.
