Henry Ford Health Invests Record $1.6 Billion in People and Communities Across Michigan

• Henry Ford Health invested $1.6 billion in community impact efforts in 2025, including $1.1 billion in uncompensated care - the most in organization history.
• The investment supported expanded access to care, free heart screenings, senior fall-prevention programs, youth mentorship, cancer patient assistance and mobile mammography services.

DETROIT - Driven by its longstanding and deep-seated commitment to improving the complete health and wellbeing of its neighbors, Henry Ford Health invested a record $1.6 billion into the communities it serves in 2025, including $1.1 billion in uncompensated care, which helps ensure people can access high-quality healthcare regardless of their ability to pay.

Some of that impactful community investment continues to include:

• Offering free, potentially life-saving heart screenings to more than 1,600 Michiganders in a single day at our Healthy Heart event across nine locations, including sites in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Genesee and Jackson counties.
• Deploying the mobile mammography unit into neighborhoods in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties, so uninsured and under-insured women can receive the important care they need.
• Providing more than 25,000 bottles of donated breast milk to babies in need in and out of the hospital setting in 2026 so far. Based in Jackson since 2023 and serving families across the state, our donor milk bank is the first of its kind in the region and is on track to accept more than half a million ounces of donated milk in early 2027.
• Partnering with Habitat for Humanity for a program called Stay Home Safe, which provides home modifications that help seniors avoid falls, improve safety and remain independent.
• Mentoring hundreds of Detroit-area high school students as they explore careers in surgery and awarding 25 $1,000 paid summer internships to high school students who get paired with physicians.
• And so much more.
