STO prices of essential items remain stable as Ramadan reaches midpoint

As Ramadan reaches its midpoint, the Ministry confirms that staple food items supplied through the State Trading Organization (STO) continue to be available at stable and affordable prices across the country.

Early Ramadan preparedness measures - including bulk procurement and coordinated distribution - have helped maintain steady market conditions despite seasonal increases in demand. STO's affordable pricing structure has played a key role in preventing excessive price fluctuations on essential goods such as rice, sugar, flour, onions and other high-demand items.

The Ministry continues to closely monitor supply levels and market trends in collaboration with STO and relevant agencies to ensure uninterrupted availability during the remaining weeks of Ramadan.

These ongoing efforts reflect the Government's commitment to protecting consumers, easing the financial burden on households, and maintaining confidence in the national food supply system throughout the holy month.
