County Executive to Host Budget Town Hall Meetings

FREDERICK, Md. - County Executive Jessica Fitzwater invites the public to join her at upcoming town hall meetings to help set priorities for the Fiscal Year 2027 budget. There will be one town hall meeting in each of the five County Council Districts throughout January.

"Your input is critical in ensuring that our budget reflects the priorities and needs of our community," said County Executive Jessica Fitzwater. "These upcoming meetings are an opportunity to share your ideas and help shape next year's budget."

Those interested in attending may join whichever meeting is most convenient and may attend more than one meeting. Attendees are not limited to the meeting in their home district. The schedule is as follows:

  • Saturday, January 10 at 1 p.m. (District 5)- Libertytown Fire Station Social Hall
  • Monday, January 12 at 7 p.m. (District 3) - Whittier Elementary
  • Wednesday, January 21 at 7 p.m. (District 1) - Brunswick Elementary
  • Monday, January 26 at 7 p.m. (District 4) - Governor Thomas Johnson Middle School
  • Thursday, January 29 at 7 p.m. (District 2) - Deer Crossing Elementary

Each meeting will be recorded and posted online for later viewing on FCG TV. To submit comments online or learn more about the meetings, visit FrederickCountyMD.gov/BudgetFY27.

The upcoming meetings are open to the public, and no RSVP is required. Interpreters will be available for American Sign Language and Spanish.
