Affected areas include the Bison Trail, Bromide Hill Trail, and SW Perimeter Road. While portions of these areas will be closed, visitors should note that access to Veterans Lake via the NW Perimeter Road will remain open, and a portion of the Bison Trail along U.S. Highway 177 will remain accessible. The closures are expected to remain in place for a minimum of 15 days, though the duration may vary depending on weather conditions and project progress.
For the safety of visitors and workers, the public is asked to respect all posted closure signs and avoid closed areas during operations.
Visitors are encouraged to check the park's website or official social media channels for the most current information before planning their visit. Chickasaw National Recreation Area appreciates the public's patience and cooperation as this important recovery work continues.
