DGA Statement on Rob Sand Qualifying for the Ballot in Iowa

DGA Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement on Rob Sand being the only Democrat to qualify for the ballot in Iowa's governor's race:

"Congratulations to Rob Sand on making the ballot in Iowa's governor's race. As state auditor and Iowa's former chief public corruption prosecutor, Rob has spent his career cracking down on wasteful spending and taking on fraudsters and bad actors to protect taxpayer dollars. It's no wonder that Rob shattered the number of signatures to qualify for the ballot: after a decade of one-party rule in Des Moines, Iowans are tired of the corruption, division, higher costs, and attacks on public schools. As the Republicans in this race promise to serve as a continuation of Kim Reynolds' failed record, without offering any solutions to the challenges facing Iowa families, Rob's promise to be an independent voice for Iowans is resonating with voters across party lines. We look forward to working with him to bring about real change for Iowa."
