Recycled Rides® donation from Nationwide helps family overcome hardship after relocation

For William Hussey and his family, rebuilding life after a difficult relocation to Las Vegas just became a little easier.

The Husseys experienced significant hardship after leaving the Big Island of Hawaii, including periods of homelessness. On November 5, they received a refurbished 2021 Honda CRV, donated by Nationwide as part of the National Auto Body Council (NABC) Recycled Rides® program. The vehicle, restored by Universal Motorcars Collision Repair, will help the family access employment, childcare, and essential services.

The Recycled Rides® program provides reliable transportation to individuals and families facing financial hardship. Family Promise of Las Vegas, Nationwide's charity partner, selected the Hussey family through its local support and housing stability programs.

Learn more about the Hussey family's story below.
