MDOT public meeting Feb. 10 for upcoming M 30 bridge replacement, M 20 resurfacing in Midland County

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) invites the public to an open house to discuss two planned projects in Midland County. Starting this spring, MDOT will replace the M-30 bridge over US-10 in Sanfordand resurface M-20 from M-30 to Currie Parkway west of Midland.

Attendees will be able to view project information and project staff will be on hand to answer questions.

Project information:
MDOT is investing $7.3 million to replace the M-30 bridge over US-10 in Sanford. The new bridge will include a 14-foot-wide separated nonmotorized path on the west side of the structure for future pathway connections. The bridge approach on eastbound US-10 over Tittabawassee River will also be improved. Work is anticipated to begin in March and will be completed in August.

MDOT is also investing $21.9 million to improve M-20 from M-30 to Currie Parkway in Midland County. Work will include 5.7 miles of resurfacing, concrete curb and gutter work, shoulder widening, joint repairs, storm sewer work, guardrail upgrades and pavement markings. Work is anticipated to begin in March and will be completed in November.
