President of the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia at the bilateral meeting with the President of the SAI Slovak Republic

Upon the invitation of the President of the SAI Slovak Republic and the First Vice-President of the European Organisation of the Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) Ľubomír Andrassy the President of the Court of Audit Jana Ahčin paid a formal visit to the SAI Slovak Republic in Bratislava between 8 and 10 September 2025.

Together with the Secretary of the Court of Audit, Tadeja Pušnar, Advisor to the President and Head of IT Service Management Office, dr. Tomaž Kralj, and Advisor in the Cabinet of the President and Liaison Officer for International Affairs, Boštjan Novak, the President of the Court of Audit presented topics related to planning and managing risks and issues referred to SAI's independence. A special attention was given to the performance assessment and particularly to the impacts of audits as well as to the challenges of introducing artificial intelligence in relation to information systems. Those topics were also addressed by the President of the SAI Slovak Republic Ľubomír Andrassy and his colleagues which enabled the exchange of experience and perspectives of both institutions.

Furthermore, there were many discussions about the role and work of the supreme audit institutions with particular emphasis on the significance of their impact on and contribution to the society, namely audit work assists institutions who use public funds to improve their operations.

At the end of the visit, the President of the Court of Audit Jana Ahčin and the President of the SAI Slovak Republic Ľubomír Andrassy agreed to continue active bilateral cooperation and networking within the EUROSAI.
