HENDERSON, Nev.(Feb. 18, 2026) -The Henderson Fire Department (HFD) has earned its 10th consecutive national accreditation for ambulance services from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS), highlighting the department's commitment to exceptional patient care and professional excellence.
HFD is among just over 180 ambulance services nationwide to meet the commission's rigorous, voluntary standards, which are earned through an extensive review and on-site evaluation by national EMS experts. The department is only one of 31 agencies nationwide to achieve 10 consecutive accreditations.
HFD received a perfect score, achieving full compliance with no deficiencies in every category. This milestone reflects the department's steadfast dedication to delivering the highest level of emergency medical care to the community.
"CAAS accreditation gives a fire department something more substantial than a plaque on a wall; it strengthens the organization in ways that directly affect community safety and internal performance," said Chief Scott Vivier. "Earning this accreditation reinforces our commitment to the community to learn, improve and deliver the best care possible."The Henderson Fire Department is currently recruiting firefighters and firefighter/paramedics to join its award-winning team!
