Goal setting kickoff, June 15-July 31

The goal-setting period for the upcoming performance year begins on Monday, June 15.

From June 15 through July 31, all employees are expected to meet with their supervisor to establish clear performance and development goals for the year ahead. These goals should be entered into the Performance Review form no later than July 31.

Goal setting is not a one-time task - it is the foundation for meaningful progress throughout the year. Use this time intentionally to align priorities, identify opportunities for growth and ensure clarity around expectations and outcomes.

What is equally important is what follows. Dedicated quarterly check-ins should be scheduled now - protected time for reflection, feedback and adjustment. These conversations are essential to keeping goals relevant and impactful.

All employees should actively participate in these discussions and take ownership of their development. Supervisors are expected to lead these conversations thoughtfully, ensure goals are documented on time, and support ongoing progress throughout the year.

To assist you in planning your goal setting for the year, two trainings are available to staff and supervisors:

Annual Goal Setting Training (for staff) - via Teams

Tuesday, June 16, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Register online.

Annual Goal Setting Training (for staff supervisors) - via Teams

Wednesday, June 17, 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
