NAMPA - Several lanes on State Highway 55 are closed at Sundance Road, just east of North Middleton Road, after a contractor struck a high-pressure sewer line during fiber boring operations beneath the highway.
The strike is destabilizing the road base beneath the roadway surface, requiring immediate lane closures so crews can assess the damage and make repairs. The full extent of the damage is unknown at this time.
Repairs are expected to take several days. Traffic in the area will be reduced while crews work to restore the roadway.
Drivers should plan for delays and use caution when traveling through the area.
