Human Services Commissioner Adelman: New Jersey Issues Fully Funded November SNAP Benefits

Benefits Were Issued to EBT Cards Friday Morning

Nov. 7, 2025

(TRENTON) - Human Services Commissioner Sarah Adelman released the following statement on New Jersey issuing fully funded November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits this morning:

"We are relieved to share that Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for November are now fully funded. SNAP households across New Jersey should see those benefits reflected on their EBT cards.

"We acted immediately in accordance with Judge McConnell's Thursday ruling to ensure these delayed benefits were available as soon as possible.

"This unprecedented delay left hundreds of thousands of New Jerseyans without food for their families. While it shouldn't have come to this, I am grateful for the court's intervention requiring the federal government to reopen this necessary food assistance.

"I am deeply grateful to our government partners, schools, nonprofits, food banks and thousands of volunteers. The incredible outpouring of support is a clear demonstration of the Jersey Spirit - we take care of each other.

"But make no mistake - there will be a lasting impact for many families, as well as our food banks and pantries. Our spirit of generosity is still needed.

"And we will continue to advocate for clear, timely action by the Trump Administration to ensure families do not face this undeserved uncertainty again. Access to nutritious food is fundamental to every person's health, dignity, and well-being, and we will always act decisively to protect and support those who depend on these vital programs."
