Riverside Seeks Residents to Help Shape the City's Future
Applications Open for City Boards and Commissions Through November 13
The City of Riverside is inviting residents to get involved in local government by applying to serve on one of the Boards and Commissions.
Boards and Commissions provide residents with an opportunity to share their experience, perspectives and ideas while advising the City Council on issues that affect the Riverside community. Members provide input on a wide range of topics, including planning and development, parks and recreation, public utilities, ethics, cultural heritage, public safety, accessibility and the City's Budget.
"Our Boards and Commissions give residents a meaningful opportunity to have a voice in their local government," City Clerk Donesia Gause said. "These community volunteers bring valuable perspectives to the table and serve as an important connection between our residents and City Hall. If you care about Riverside and want to make a difference, we encourage you to apply."
Applications are being accepted through November 13, 2026, for the following vacancies:
Boards and Commission positions are voluntary. Applicants must reside within the City of Riverside and be registered voters to be eligible for appointments. Terms are four (4) years and members may serve up to two consecutive terms.
Residents are encouraged to apply for the current vacancies by November 13, 2026; however, applications are accepted year-round for all City Boards and Commissions.
