WASHINGTON D.C. - Today, Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01) released the following statement after the Fiscal Year 2026 appropriations package advanced without language securing year-round, nationwide access to E15 fuel, a priority long supported by farmers, ethanol producers, and rural communities across southern Minnesota: <_o3a_p>

"At a time when farmers are facing uncertainty in global markets and record-high input costs, year-round, nationwide access to E15 is a commonsense solution to strengthen demand, support rural economies, and provide consumers with affordable fuel options. It is disappointing that E15 was not included at this stage, representing a missed opportunity to deliver certainty for farmers," said Rep. Finstad. "Moving forward, we have a clear mission: secure year-round E15, advance farmer economic assistance, and complete the remaining priorities of the Farm Bill. <_o3a_p>

"I will continue working with and listening to farmers who are calling for fair markets and year-round E15, and I remain committed to getting this done for the communities that feed and fuel our country." <_o3a_p>
