Jury Duty Scam Alert!
If you receive a phone call stating you missed jury duty and now must pay a fine or go to jail, that's a SCAM. No one in the Walker County Court System would ever make a phone call requiring you to pay a fine for missing jury duty.
If you receive such a phone call, just hang up. You're not being impolite. You are also more than welcome to call the Walker County Clerk's Office at (706) 638-1742 or Carter Brown, Clerk of Superior Court, at (423) 762-7912 to answer any questions or verify any information that you have been given.
