On the contacts of SCO member states experts in the customs sphere
The 41st meeting of the Special Working Group on customs cooperation of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states was held in a hybrid format in Moscow on December 4-5, 2025 under the chairmanship of the Russian side.
Experts reviewed an extensive list of issues concerning the implementation of existing documents as well as new initiatives on the agenda. A thorough exchange of views took place on modernizing customs cooperation within the SWG including the feasibility of establishing competent expert groups, cooperation on implementing "single window" mechanisms and jointly facilitating trade, as well as developing cooperation between relevant services of SCO member states in the field of post-customs control.
The parties agreed to continue work on the entire range of the aforementioned topics during the intersessional period.
