U.S. EPA Drinking Water Grants for Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Upgrades & Sustainability Improvements

The U.S. EPA has announced the availability of $9 million in competitive grant funding for public water systems serving 10,000 or more people to improve resilience to natural disasters, extreme weather events, and cybersecurity threats.

Eligible projects for the Midsize and Large Drinking Water System Infrastructure Resilience and Sustainability Grant Program may include:

  • Infrastructure upgrades to protect drinking water sources from floods, wildfires, and other natural hazards

  • Cybersecurity enhancements to safeguard operational systems

  • Sustainability improvements that increase long-term system resilience
