When wildfires swept through Los Angeles earlier this year, families across the region lost their homes, routines and peace of mind. When recovery efforts began, Spectrum volunteers were there, helping individuals at local shelters stay connected to loved ones and access critical information.
That early community support has grown into participation in long-term rebuilding efforts. Recently, employees joined San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity as it helps the Wood family rebuild the home they lost in the Eaton Fire. Many of the Company's volunteers who secured supports and prepared the site for the next phase of construction were the same Field Operations employees who restored Spectrum's service across the community after the fire.
Spectrum will provide the Woods with a free year of 1 gig Internet service and Advanced WiFi, along with complimentary installation. The addition of reliable connectivity will help the family fully settle into its new home while the community continues to rebuild around them.
