The Secretary of State for the Economy João Rui Ferreira is heading the corporate mission to India, coordinated by the Portuguese Trade and Investment Agency (AICEP) that aims to offer Portuguese companies direct, qualified, and structured knowledge of the Indian market.

This mission will enable identifying business and investment opportunities, so the programme is focusing on the sectors where there is greater potential for bilateral cooperation. Among these, renewables, infrastructure and mobility, technology and the digital economy, industry and defence, water and sanitation, health and pharmaceutics, as well as startups and innovation.

The mission's programme reflects the growing convergence between the priorities to modernise India's economy and the value offered by the Portuguese companies.

As part of the visit, João Rui Ferreira will attend the Business Forum Mumbai at the CII Annual Business Summit in New Delhi and will hold institutional meetings with members of the Indian Government. Meetings with corporate and sector entities are also planned, as well as sessions to promote Portugal as an investment destination and networking moments.
