Road resurfacing begins Sept. 11 on Seven Mile Road

Attention drivers: Road resurfacing begins Sept. 11 on Seven Mile Road in Livonia


Wayne County will begin a resurfacing project on Seven Mile Road, between Newburgh Road and Farmington Road, in the City of Livonia starting Thursday, Sept. 11, weather permitting.

The work includes:

  • Asphalt milling and resurfacing

  • Lane-by-lane resurfacing (right lanes followed by left lanes)

  • Traffic control with on-site flaggers

  • Updated pavement markings

Traffic Impacts:

  • One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open at all times

  • Flaggers will assist with traffic flow - please drive with caution

  • Access for school buses and emergency vehicles will be maintained

  • Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays

Sept. 11-16: Work on right (outside) lanes

Sept. 17-24: Work on left (inside) lanes

Completion expected by late September, weather permitting
