HENDERSON, Nev. (June 24, 2026) - At approximately 11:30 a.m. today, the Henderson Fire Department responded to a residential explosion that resulted in a fire in the 900 block of Calville Estates Court.
Upon arrival, crews found an active fire involving a two-story residence and quickly worked to contain it. As crews were on scene, they confirmed an explosion occurred inside the garage of the residence.
Six people were inside the residence at the time of the incident, including two adults and four juveniles, along with two dogs. One adult male was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
One Henderson Police Officer self-transported to a local hospital for evaluation due to possible smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.
As a precaution, a nearby shopping center located behind the residence was temporarily evacuated while crews secured the area. The evacuation has since been lifted.
The source of the explosion and cause of the fire remains under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
