Newburyport Bank Promotes Brenden Hawkes to Assistant Vice President, Commercial Portfolio Manager

Newburyport Bank recently promoted Brenden Hawkes to Assistant Vice President, Commercial Portfolio Manager. Brenden was previously an Appraisal and Environmental Analyst with River Run Services, the organization that operates under the umbrella of River Run Bancorp, MHC, and supports its affiliated banks Newburyport Bank, Pentucket Bank, and Rollstone Bank & Trust.

Brenden brings eight years of banking experience, including four years in commercial banking, to his new position. He will work with Newburyport Bank's commercial lending team to manage assigned loan portfolios, oversee credit administration, and help maintain risk management practices. His responsibilities include coordinating loan approvals and renewals, reviewing financial information and loan documentation, monitoring credit quality, and helping ensure compliance with banking policies and regulatory requirements.

A resident of Salisbury, Massachusetts, Brenden is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business at Southern New Hampshire University. He has also completed basic and advanced leadership courses at NCO Academy at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey.

Brenden is active in his community, coaching Triton Youth Basketball and serving on River Run's volunteer committee. He enjoys golf, basketball, and hiking when he's not chasing after his five children and family dog.
