One-Way Traffic Control Next Week

Amador County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place to perform construction and maintenance activities on State Routes 49 (SR-49), 88, and 124 in Amador County next week.

State Route 49

  • One-way traffic control from Dry Creek Bridge to China Street for drainage work beginning Tuesday, May 26, through Friday, May 29, from 6:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Route 16 to Bush Street for tree work on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

State Route 88

  • One-way traffic control from Matson Drive to Hilltop Street for excavation work beginning Wednesday, May 27, 2026, through Friday, May 29, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Elevation Marker 6,000 feet to Mehrten Springs Road for drainage work on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Tragedy Springs Road to Plasse Road for drainage work on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

State Route 124

  • One-way traffic control from Ione Railroad Crossing to Charles Howard Park for tree work on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
