Garbarino Announces Milestone of More Than 10,000 Constituent Cases Resolved

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Andrew R. Garbarino (R-NY-02) announced today that his office has successfully resolved more than 10,000 constituent cases and returned nearly 37 million dollars since he took office in 2021.

From helping veterans access benefits and assisting seniors with Social Security and Medicare to resolving passport delays and immigration issues, Garbarino's constituent services team works directly with federal agencies to help Long Islanders get the assistance they need.

"Helping Long Islanders is the most important part of my job, and I'm incredibly proud that my office has now resolved more than 10,000 constituent cases and helped return nearly $37 million to the people of my district," said Congressman Garbarino. "I especially want to thank my dedicated constituent services team, who work hard every day to help Long Islanders get the benefits they've earned and the answers they deserve. Whether it's a delayed passport, an issue with Social Security, or trouble getting through to a federal agency, we are here to help."

Among those assisted by Garbarino's office is Wojciech Krystkowiak, who received help navigating an immigration matter. Following the office's involvement, an immigration judge granted his application for relief, allowing him to remain legally in the United States.

"Thank you so much for this incredible news. Words cannot express how deeply grateful my family and I are for everything you and your office have done for us. Your support, dedication, and guidance throughout this process made a life-changing difference for me. You have truly given me a new beginning, and for that, I will be forever thankful. Please extend my heartfelt appreciation to your entire team for their hard work and kindness. Thank you once again for changing my life," said Krystkowiak.

William Lynch also received assistance with his employment authorization application, which was subsequently approved.

"I have obtained my OPT visa and begun work. I appreciate all the help your office has provided. Best of luck," said Lynch.

Lourdes Smith also received assistance from Garbarino's office in securing her passport. Following its issuance, Smith thanked the team for their help.

"Thank you so much to you and your team for helping me get my passport," said Smith.

In addition to helping constituents navigate federal agencies, Garbarino's office also assists Long Islanders planning visits to Washington, D.C., including arranging tours of the U.S. Capitol and other historic landmarks.

Alyssa Byrnes, who recently visited Washington with her mother, praised the assistance she received from Garbarino's staff.

"It's really nice to have a representative and an office that are so responsive and willing to help their constituents. It certainly doesn't go unnoticed, and I wanted to make sure you all knew how much we appreciated it," said Byrnes.

Long Islanders seeking assistance with a federal agency or interested in arranging tours during a visit to Washington, D.C. are encouraged to contact Congressman Garbarino's office at (631) 541-4225 or visit his official website.
