Nighttime Lane Closures on SR 54 (Lighthouse Road) between Van Buren Avenue and Dukes Avenue
Fenwick Island - The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces nightly lane closures on SR 54 (Lighthouse Road) between Van Buren Avenue and Dukes Avenue beginning Tuesday, September 8, for approximately one week.
The nightly closures are necessary to install the new traffic pattern for Phase 2 of the SR 54 Lighthouse Road Bridge Replacement Project. Crews will remove the existing barrier wall and pavement markings before reinstalling the barrier wall and striping to shift traffic to the south side of the bridge. This will allow construction to begin on the north side of the bridge.
Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use caution when traveling through the work zone.
