The Camden Vicinage will celebrate the graduation of 12 participants from its recovery court program on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. in courtroom 63 at the Camden County Hall of Justice, 101 S. 5th Street, Camden, Assignment Judge Steven J. Polansky announced today.
Superior Court Judge John S. Kennedy will preside. Shawn Butler, a bronze-level certified boxing coach, will give the keynote address. Graduation speakers also include Assistant Camden County Prosecutor Greg Audino, First Assistant Deputy Public Defender Frank P. Trosky, Assistant Deputy Public Defender Rachel Carlson, and members of the Recovery Court Alumni Association of Camden and Burlington counties.
The Judiciary's recovery court program, which addresses nonviolent, addicted offenders, requires completion of phases of intensive drug and alcohol treatment and recovery while under court supervision.
The vicinage's recovery court program, which began in 1996, has 520 participants and has graduated 1,128 participants.
