Eastbound I-80 Pomona Street Off-Ramp and Lane Closures in Crockett Scheduled for Overnight Safety Repairs

Scheduled for tonight, Monday, April 13, 2026, from 9:00 PM until 5:00 AM.

Contra Costa County - Caltrans will be conducting overnight full off-ramp and lane closures on eastbound Interstate 80 (I-80) at the Crockett/Pomona Street off-ramp (Exit #27), which serves as the final exit before the Carquinez Bridge. These closures are scheduled to begin tonight, Monday, April 13, 2026, from 9:00 PM until 5:00 AM the following morning, to facilitate reconstruction of a damaged crash cushion. Eastbound motorists approaching Crockett are advised to anticipate potential delays and consider alternative routes via local streets. Further work in this area is planned for upcoming dates.

For the safety of the traveling public, the following closures will be in place 9 PM - 5 AM:

Eastbound I-80 Off-Ramp Full Closure: Crockett/Pomona Street (last exit before Carquinez Bridge Toll Plaza)

Eastbound I-80 Lane Closure: Lane 3 closed from Cummings Skyway Overcrossing to Pomona Street exit

Detour Information: Motorists intending to exit Pomona Street in Crockett should:

  • Take the EB I-80 Cummings Skyway off-ramp to San Pablo Avenue or Crockett Boulevard
  • Follow local streets to reach Pomona Street

*Motorist traveling westbound on SR-4 are advised to take the Cummings Skyway off ramp on WB SR-4 to Crockett Boulevard and continue to Pomona Street.

Traffic Control Measures:

Changeable Message Signs (CMS) will alert drivers of closure. Motorists should expect minor delays, reduce speed, and plan extra travel time.
