Wentworth Institute of Technology partnered with the Massachusetts Building Congress (MBC) on March 18 to host The ConTech & Net Zero Playbook, an innovation conference in Watson Hall.
The event brought together professionals from the architecture, engineering, construction, and built environment sectors, while giving Wentworth students the opportunity to participate in morning roundtables and connect directly with industry leaders.
Following a networking breakfast sponsored by LeMessurier, the program featured presentations and discussions, including opening remarks from Michelle Moulin of MBC and Isobel Morrison of Skanska.
Representatives from Skanska spoke about the practical applications of construction technology in the field, including how new tools are integrated into project delivery, how return on investment is assessed, and what may be next for the industry.
Wentworth Assistant Provost Robbin Beauchamp was the featured speaker for the "Co-op & Future Talent" spotlight, highlighting the university's commitment to real-world experience and career readiness. The program concluded with a project panel focused on the challenges of navigating Net Zero requirements in the Greater Boston area.
Annual sponsors for the event included JM Electrical, AEM, and Bowditch, while FlowTech served as the check-in sponsor.
