Frasers Property Thailand presents ‘MasterPeace Pain-ting’, transforming the MITR Direct Link Tunnel into a vibrant art space

Frasers Property (Thailand) Public Company Limited or "FPT", in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority (BMA), the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), and artist Tent Katchakul, is inviting the public to transform the Samyan Mitrtown pedestrian tunnel into a vibrant, living art space. The 'MasterPeace Pain-ting' event runs from today until 20 September 2025.

Understanding the stress and fast pace of city life in Bangkok, Frasers Property Thailand, the first fully-integrated real estate platform in Thailand, created this initiative to offer urbanites a chance to pause, recharge, and express themselves through art. The 43-metre tunnel, will be transformed from a functional walkway into a 'feel-good space', where the public can add their own creative touches to a large-scale mural and reimagine the city as a place of balance and inspiration.

The project reflects the shared vision of Frasers Property Thailand, the BMA, and the MRTA in promoting the physical and mental well-being of people. To bring this idea to life, they partnered with renowned illustrator Tent Katchakul, celebrated for his signature line art. His giant doodle mural depicts Bangkok's iconic landmarks, including the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Giant Swing, Chatuchak Market, and Hua Lamphong Railway Station, alongside Frasers Property Thailand's projects such as Samyan Mitrtown, FYI Center, and KLOS Ratchada. Hidden among the drawings are imaginative 'pocket spaces' where the public can contribute by colouring and adding their own creative flair.

Mr. Sarit Triroj, Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications and Branding of FPT, said, "At Frasers Property Thailand, we see ourselves not just as developers, but as 'placemakers' who connect all aspects of city living. Guided by our Purpose - inspiring experiences, creating places for good, we aim to develop spaces that cater to lifestyle demands, raise the standards of living, and create a sustainable balance between business, people, the city, and the planet. As a result, each of our projects is based on the foundation of a true understanding of the location and the people. This has helped us to earn the recognition that 'living a good life' begins with Frasers Property Thailand."

"We believe that living a good life has to start from healthy physical and mental well-being, especially in such a bustling city as Bangkok. A truly thriving city is not only about its fast pace, but also about how it creates spaces for pause and rest. 'MasterPeace Pain-ting' reflects this commitment, offering Bangkok residents a break from their daily grind. It provides them with a creative outlet to relieve negative emotions such as stress, loneliness and weariness, allowing them to reconnect with positive emotions instead. Even modest public spaces can radiate positive energy. This activity transforms a familiar public space into a community art space that links people through art and energises all who pass through it."
