Santa Fe Comes Together: 2,701 Participate in 2026 Toss No Mas Cleanup

The 2026 Toss No Mas citywide cleanup brought together 2,701 participants who collected 12,822 pounds, or more than 6.4 tons, of trash and debris from neighborhoods and public spaces throughout Santa Fe.

This year's cleanup saw significant growth compared with 2025, demonstrating the community's continued commitment to keeping Santa Fe clean and beautiful.

2026 Toss No Mas by the Numbers

  • 2,701 participants, an increase of 626, or approximately 30%, over 2025

  • 12,822 pounds of trash and debris collected, an increase of approximately 20% over 2025

  • 17 participating schools, including 16 Santa Fe Public Schools and Academy of Technology and the Classics (ATC)

The results reflect what can happen when students, families, volunteers, community organizations, and government partners work together to care for Santa Fe.

Youth participation remains an important part of Toss No Mas. Through events like this, young people can practice environmental stewardship, work together, and see firsthand the positive impact they can make in their community.

Every bag collected represents someone who stopped to help. Every hour volunteered represents someone who cared enough to make a difference. Together, participants sent a simple but powerful message: Our community matters, and we can take care of the place we call home together.
