Duncannon Drive, Van Buren Drive, and other Carrington Reservation Ownership
Charles County is working to address a number of infrastructure needs in the Carrington community. The work includes improving traffic safety with a new traffic signal with pedestrian crossing and improving drainage in residential areas.
The program brings together various departments to address aging infrastructure, existing concerns, and creating a plan for long-term solutions.
At this time, the County is seeking anyentities or individualswho have legal claim to the areas identified as Drainage Reservations or Future Road Reservations for the land identified in Charles County Land Records Plat Book 11, Page 18-19; Plat Book 11, Page 22; Plat Book 11, Page 57-58; Plat Book 13, Pages 73-74; Plat Book 15, Page 29-30; Plat Book 18, Pages 108-111; and Plat Book 25, Page 180.
Anyone with a legal claim to these Reservation areas should immediately notify Sarah Guy, Chief of Property Acquisition ([email protected] /301-638-0806), regarding their claim to the land. The County seeks to complete a Quiet Title action on all Carrington Reservation areas so that the land can be used for the purpose originally intended when the community was designed (storm drainage and transportation).
