UES Expands Thermal Resistivity Expertise with Addition of Geotherm

We are happy to announce that Geotherm has joined UES! Founded in 1978 by Deepak Parmar, and based out of Katy, TX, Geotherm provides thermal resistivity testing with proprietary, industry-leading technology, for energy clients across North America.

Geotherm's team of 30 experts focuses on evaluating soil's thermal properties for efficient power transmission and distribution. Analyzing the soil's thermal properties along cable routes, especially before they are laid, enables the optimal design and implementation of an underground power system. The Geotherm team is highly respected for their thermal surveys, corrective backfills, and instrumentation design, and have supported underground and submarine power cable projects for clients around the world.

The energy end market, and particularly the need to install energy cables, is experiencing rapid expansion, with the increased demand due to data center loads and renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar. We are excited to partner with Geotherm to support this growing need for our clients, and our communities.

Nimesh Patel will continue to run the business, and the Geotherm team becomes part of UES's National Specialty Services (NSS), along with other specialized UES businesses that serve our clients nationwide: Dan Brown & Associates (deep foundation engineering experts), and Amtech Solutions (building envelope consulting experts).
