In 2023, we received a total of 23 calls about Mountain Lions. Two of those were to report a direct threat to human life. One call reported three Mountain Lions were circling a group of friends in the Colfax area and the second was from the Roseville area where a Mountain Lion was in a tree and charged at a person. Thankfully, no one was hurt in either incident.
We don't share these numbers to scare anyone. We want to assure our community; we hear your concern.
