Minister Ionuț Moșteanu participates in the EU Defence Ministers' Meeting in Denmark


Minister of National Defence, Liviu-Ionuț Moșteanu, is participating, on August 28-29, in the EU Informal Meeting of Defence Ministers, which takes place in Copenhagen, the Kingdom of Denmark.


The talks will focus on enhancing military support to Ukraine, as well as on developments within the EU Military Assistance Mission for Ukraine (EUMAM).


The meeting provides an opportunity to exchange views on the implementation of the White Paper for European Defence - Readiness 2030 and the ReArm Europe Plan/Readiness 2030. The defence ministers will also discuss the adaptation of operational commitments within the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) to the new geopolitical context and the evolution of current security threats.


The participation of the Defence Minister in the EU Informal Meeting in Copenhagen reconfirms Romania's commitment to actively contribute to strengthening European security and to continuing its firm support for Ukraine.
