The NSPE Education Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 academic scholarships, recognizing rising engineering students whose academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to the profession reflect the promise of the next generation of engineers.
Auxiliary Legacy Scholarship
This $5,000 scholarship is awarded to female undergraduates entering or continuing their junior year of a four-year ABET-accredited engineering program.
Arianna Digman (Spring, Texas) is a junior majoring in environmental engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.
Kennedy Franklin (Lubbuck, Texas) is a junior at Texas A&M University pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a specialized focus in water resources.
George B. Hightower P.E. Fellowship
This $3,000 award goes to current engineering undergraduates or graduate students who are enrolled in, or graduated from, an ABET-accredited engineering program.
Coleman Huetz (Mount Tabor, New Jersey) is pursuing a master's degree in photonics at Rowan University.
Haylee Nicholas (Manhattan, Kansas) is pursuing a master's degree in architectural engineering at Kansas State University, specializing in mechanical systems.
William R. Kimel, P.E. Engineering Scholarship
A $2,500 scholarship awarded to undergraduate students who are residents of either Kansas or Missouri, enrolled as a junior in an ABET-accredited engineering program in a college or university in either Kansas or Missouri.
Nathanael Getahun (Olathe, Kansas) is a junior at the University of Kansas, double majoring in computer science and data science.
Reid Golubski (Newton, Kansas) is pursuing a civil engineering degree at the University of Kansas.
Sathukan (Giffy) Keeler (Branson, Missouri) is pursuing a general engineering degree at College of the Ozarks.
Steiman Scholarship
A $5,000 scholarship awarded to undergraduates entering or continuing their junior year in a four-year ABET-accredited engineering program.
Ambrose Hipsh (Dallas, Texas) is pursuing an engineering degree at Tarleton State University.
Emma Koehler (Ocoee, Florida) is a senior at the University of Florida majoring in chemical engineering.
Dominic Longobardi (Mechanicsville, Maryland) is pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at Florida Tech.
Jason McIntosh, Jr. (Goffstown, New Hampshire), is pursuing an engineering degree at the University of New Hampshire Durham.
Laura Viera (Santa Clara, California) is pursuing an engineering degree at the University of California, Berkeley.
