ICYMI: On Telemundo Arizona, Kelly Outlines Impact of Trump’s Big Bill for Arizonans, Speaks Against Trump’s Mass Deportation Raids

In case you missed it, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly sat with Telemundo Arizona in Phoenix over the weekend to talk about the consequences Arizonans are facing after Republicans in Congress passed President Trump's so-called "One Big Beautiful Bill." Earlier in the day, Kelly stood with Arizona families to make clear that the fight against Medicaid and SNAP cuts, as well as other harmful provisions in the law, is far from over.

In the interview with José Ángel Galavis, Kelly also spoke against Trump's mass deportation raids and emphasized the need for a reformed immigration system.

On Trump's cuts to Medicaid and SNAP…

"It's the biggest cut we've seen in these programs in our history. […] When people don't have health insurance, they still get sick. They just get sicker, and eventually, they've got to go to the emergency room to get emergency services and then wind up in an ICU. Instead, under Medicaid, they had a doctor. They had preventative care. They could go get a check-up, get their kids can get vaccinated. So, they're taking all of that away."

On Trump's immigration raids…

"We're a country of laws. We shouldn't have what looks like and appears to be a secret police organization that's just rounding people up because of how they look. […] In the Senate, I'm going to do whatever I can to fight back against these bad policies."
