First Horizon Baseball Park Burglars & Thieves Identified; Arrest Orders Issued Not in Davidson But Williamson County

Burglary detectives have positively identified the two 17-year-olds responsible for Saturday morning's burglary at First Horizon Park during which 13 baseball gloves belonging to Nashville Sounds players were stolen.

A Nashville Juvenile Court magistrate this morning denied an MNPD detective's request for arrest orders, apparently reasoning that the felony crimes for which they are being charged are property in nature. Instead, Nashville Juvenile Court is issuing petitions for delinquency which provide a future court date.

The 13 baseball gloves were recovered on Sunday from a Brentwood sports resale business after staff there learned of the theft from an MNPD social media post. The business is out the several hundred dollars that it paid for the gloves. Brentwood Police have applied for and received arrest orders for the two 17-year-olds from Williamson County Juvenile Court related to the possession and selling of stolen merchandise. Based on the Williamson County arrest orders, one of the teens was taken into custody a short time ago at his residence by Kingston Springs Police. The other 17-year-old just surrendered to Brentwood Police.

The two teens are under investigation in regard to other Middle Tennessee thefts involving sporting goods.
