Gooden Praises End of USCCB Agreement with Federal Government for Illegal Alien Resettlement

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Gooden praised the end of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' (USCCB) agreement with the federal government for "refugee" resettlement. Gooden has been a leader in the fight against NGOs like USCCB since November 2021, when he visited the border to personally investigate the role nonprofits play in the immigrant invasion.

"The USCCB helped facilitate the invasion at our southern border for far too long," said Congressman Gooden. "While this is a major step toward ending the unchecked flow of taxpayer dollars to illegal immigrants, we must prevent future federal funding from going to groups that aid and abet in illegal immigration, such as Jewish Family Services, Catholic Charities USA, and United Way Worldwide."

Congressman Gooden has been sounding the alarm on NGOs facilitating illegal immigration since he received whistleblower documents in 2021. He previously called for the USCCB to lose its tax-exempt status over its role in the Biden border crisis.

Gooden introduced a bill, the Protecting Federal Funds from Human Trafficking and Smuggling Act (H.R.1168), which would prohibit federal funding from going to NGOs that aid in illegal immigration.
