The new logo, website, and social media channels highlight the organization's 55-year commitment to supporting housing stability for more than 80,000 residents across the region.
LOS ANGELES, CA - LOMOD, formerly known as L.A. LOMOD unveiled its new brand identity today, marking a new chapter for the 55-year old organization. Launched just before National Civics Day, the refresh represents LOMOD's renewed focus to support affordable housing and inform the public about how their federal resources are benefiting thousands across the region.
"This update reflects LOMOD's continued evolution and commitment to ensuring affordable housing resources are well managed," said Connie Loyola, President of LOMOD. "This includes ensuring our partners and stakeholders are well informed about how public resources are being deployed across Southern California."
Founded in 1971 as the nonprofit arm of the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA), LOMOD is a federally designated contract administrator for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In this role the organization oversees nearly 800 rental assistance contracts and administers funding for more than 55,000 affordable rental units across 10 counties, keeping more than 80,000 seniors, families, and people with disabilities housed.
"LOMOD's work is about more than contracts and compliance, it's about helping people remain stably housed and connected to opportunity," said Lourdes Castro Ramírez, President and CEO of HACLA and Chair of LOMOD's Board of Directors. "Across ten counties, LOMOD helps preserve affordable housing for more than 80,000 Southern Californians while ensuring public resources are used effectively. This new brand reflects both the organization's evolution and its enduring commitment to the communities it serves."
LOMOD's new website, https://www.lomod.org, will be a resource for government, property owners, residents, and community members who want to learn more about LOMOD's programs, services, and impact. The update comes as housing affordability received a key vote of confidence from Congress recently, with the passage of the 21st Century Road to Housing Act.
