The City of Alexandria has launched a new procurement platform, Euna Solutions' Sourcing & Contracting system, to improve how the City manages competitive solicitations and works with vendors.
The cloud-based platform provides a secure, centralized system to manage the formal solicitations, such as Invitations for Bids (IFBs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Vendors interact with the program through the Solicitation Portal, where they can register, receive opportunity notifications, submit bids, and communicate directly with City procurement staff.
"Our new platform transforms the way we administer public procurements, to be easier for both City staff and our local business partners," said Kevin Greenlief, Finance Director for the City of Alexandria. "Now, a business can find opportunities, submit a bid, and track its status all in one place. Ultimately, that means better value for our residents and stronger partnerships with our vendors.
The Sourcing & Contracting platform supports the City's ongoing commitment to delivering efficient, transparent, and accountable government services while making it easier for businesses of all sizes to compete for City contracts.
"This new system isn't just an online portal, it reflects a stronger partnership with the local business community," said City Manager Jim Parajon. "No matter the size of the business, we want vendors to join us in delivering quality programs, services, and infrastructure for our residents. That's what responsible stewardship of public resources looks like in practice."
Beginning immediately, all new competitive solicitations will be managed through the Sourcing & Contracting platform. Vendors interested in doing business with the City are encouraged to register for a free account to receive notifications of contracting opportunities, access solicitation documents, and submit bids and proposals electronically in the Solicitation Portal.
