Head of the Chinese Mission to the African Union Ambassador Jiang Feng Meets with Director and Head of the WHO Liaison Office to the AU and the UNECA

On 23 September, H.E. Amb. Jiang Feng, Head of the Mission of China to the African Union, met with Prof. Francis Kasolo, Director and Head of the World Health Organization (WHO) Liaison Office to the AU and the UNECA, in the presence of Minister Counsellor Lyu Ruihao and others.

Amb. Jiang expressed China's appreciation for the important contribution made by the WHO in promoting the health development in Africa and extended the willingness to expand cooperation with the WHO in areas such as health system strengthening, human resources development and traditional medicine utilization, to help improve the health and well-being of the African people.

Prof. Kasolo appreciated China's long-standing and steadfast support for the WHO and African countries in various areas. He expressed the willingness to explore trilateral cooperation among China, AU institutions, and African countries, so as to improve the health indicators and promote economic and social development in African countries.
