The Parks and Recreation Department invites families to register for summer day camps, adaptive recreation camps, and nature camps that begin in June. Families are encouraged to create user accounts on the new online CivicRec program registration and facility rental platform prior to the Monday, January 27, registration opening day.
Summer Day Camps:
City summer camps run from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays June 2 through August 8. Fees are $195 for five-day sessions and $155 for four-day sessions (June 16-20 and June 30-July 3 sessions only). A $20 non-refundable enrollment fee is included in the weekly cost. Elementary and middle school-age children can be registered for the entire summer or on a week-to-week basis. Registration is available online at lincoln.ne.gov/CivicRec or by contacting the camp location.
Summer camps are designed to create lasting memories, encourage new adventures, build friendships, and celebrate the joy of childhood. Weekly activities include swimming, arts and crafts, active games, and field trips. Camps are hosted at the following locations:
Extreme Teens Day Camp at the "F" Street Community Center, 1225 "F" Street, is a program for youth who have completed sixth through eighth grades. Activities include community field trips, swimming pool visits, organized games and other activities, and peer engagement. Camps are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays from June 2 through August 8. Fees are $80 per week, and $65 per four-day week. There are no camps on June 19 or the week of July 4. For more information, contact the "F" Street Community Center at 402-441-7951.
Nature Camps:
Camps at the Pioneers Park Nature Center, 3201 S. Coddington Ave., are offered weekly June 2 through August 8. Camps are open to children ages 3 years through eighth grade and use the outdoors to inspire curiosity and build an understanding of others and of their surroundings. Fees vary on camp program and length of session. Fees include a $25 non-refundable deposit due at the time of registration.

Adaptive Recreation Day Camps provide fun, structured, social opportunities for growth and building friendships for individuals with special needs.

Youth Golf Camps:
Spring, summer, and fall classes are offered through Lincoln City Golf Courses for ages 4 and older. Families can register online or in person at the Ager Golf Course, 3761 Normal Blvd., 402-441-8963. Camps are four to eight weeks long and include instruction from a PGA Professional with golf equipment and teaching aides. Learn about Lincoln City Golf Courses at lincolncitygolf.org. Financial Assistance:
The Lincoln Parks and Recreation Youth Scholarship Program promotes equitable access to recreational programs by offering income-based financial assistance to families in need. Contact any location to request an application. The Air Park, Belmont, Calvert, and McPhee locations participate in the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Child Care Subsidy Program.
