Discover Boating and Progressive Insurance® Continue Rolling Out Boating Safety Videos

Discover Boating, powered by NMMA and MRAA, is continuing its boating safety video series in collaboration with Progressive Insurance®, with new episodes focused on practical skills and everyday situations boaters encounter on the water.

Launched this summer, the short-form video series combines approachable safety guidance with engaging, easy-to-digest content designed to reach boaters across Discover Boating's digital and social channels. The collaboration builds on Discover Boating and Progressive's shared commitment to helping people feel more confident and prepared on the water.

Following the debut episode, three additional videos are rolling out through September:

• Fishing Safety Tips: Timed with National Fishing Month and the late-summer fishing season, the episode shares important reminders to help anglers stay safe and prepared while enjoying time on the water.
• Docking Tips for Boaters: Ahead of Labor Day weekend, the series turns to one of boating's most common challenges, offering practical tips to help boaters approach docks, marinas and tight spaces with greater confidence.
• Boat Ramps: Dos and Don'ts (Sept. 14): This episode focuses on safe and efficient boat-ramp use, reinforcing best practices and etiquette that can help create a smoother experience for everyone at the ramp.

The series will continue with Boating Safety for Beginners, scheduled to launch April 1, 2027, ahead of the new boating season. The episode will cover foundational safety practices for first-time boaters while also serving as a useful preseason refresher for experienced boaters.

Industry Stakeholders Encouraged to Share

Embeddable versions of the two currently available videos can be found in the Discover Boating Industry Resource Center, with additional videos to be added as they launch. Industry stakeholders are encouraged to share the videos through their websites, social channels, consumer emails and showroom displays to help reinforce safe boating practices and support positive experiences on the water.
