President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador of Kuwait to Armenia, Mohammad Tareq Ali Al-Oraifan

On the occasion of the National Holiday, President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to Armenia, Mohammad Tareq Ali Al-Oraifan.

Welcoming the Ambassador, the President, through him, conveyed his congratulations and best wishes to the Emir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and to the people of Kuwait on the occasion of the Independence and Liberation Day.

The President noted that Kuwait is a friendly and brotherly country to Armenia, emphasizing the need to fully realize the existing potential for bilateral cooperation and expressing confidence that future-oriented joint programs can be successfully implemented in various fields.

Ambassador Mohammad Tareq Ali Al-Oraifan expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and the conveyed best wishes.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of intensifying high-level mutual visits as an important direction for the further development, deepening, and strengthening of bilateral relations. In this context, the need to enhance contacts between intergovernmental commissions and sectoral authorities was also highlighted.

The ways for expanding cultural cooperation were discussed during the conversation. The sides attached particular importance to the role of the Armenian community in Kuwait as a bridge for strengthening mutual understanding and cultural ties between the two peoples.

Both sides stressed the need to more fully realize the cooperation potential, especially in the fields of tourism, education, sports tourism, as well as expanding and ensuring the continuity of student exchange programs.
