On 16 June, the President of the Republic appointed Member of Parliament, Master of Laws (trained on the bench) Karoliina Partanen to serve as Minister of Social Security. At the same time, the President released Sanni Grahn-Laasonen from her duties as Minister of Social Security and as a member of the Government.

Following the presidential session, the government plenary session decided on changes to deputising arrangements and the composition of ministerial working groups. At the beginning of the session, Minister Partanen also took her oath of office and judicial oath.  The division of duties between the ministers will remain unchanged.
